Kinder ABC's app for iPhone and iPad

The Kinder ABCs educational app will help your child practice and learn the ABC’s. This comprehensive approach is highly interactive and based on choice. The letter and corresponding sound is given along with words that start with that letter. After students have practiced the letter a discrimination quiz is given to see if they can remember what the letter looks like and sounds like. A fun song is included with each letter. This low cost app is based on the Share The Secret Program, which has helped preschoolers and kindergarteners learn their ABC’s for many years. Help your child achieve grade level and keep up or catch up to their peers.

This app is written by teachers for teachers, as well as parents. It will target a student’s individual needs. This app easily integrates into your lesson prep and can be used individually or in centers. Knowledge of the alphabet, sounds of these letters and writing these letters composes some of the most important skills as listed in The Common Core Standards for Kindergarten.

The standards for Kindergarten include:
a. Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
b. Demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary sound or many of the most frequent sounds for each consonant.
